ARENES est une unité mixte de recherche (UMR) associant le CNRS, l’Université de Rennes 1, l’IEP de Rennes et l’EHESP, en partenariat avec l’Université Rennes 2. Située à Rennes, elle conduit des recherches qui font appel à plusieurs disciplines : science politique, sociologie, sciences de l’information et de la communication, anthropologie, histoire, géographie et éducation à la santé…
Cette UMR se structure en 3 équipes :
- Politiques sociales et de santé. Inégalités et populations
- Engagement, vie politique et médias
- Institutions et échelles d’action publique
Et quatre chantiers transversaux :
- Environnement, développement durable et écologie politique
- Rapports ordinaires au genre
- Âges de la vie et transitions
- Médiatisation et construction des problèmes publics
Les enseignants-chercheurs de l’EHESP membres d’ARENES sont essentiellement issus du Département des sciences humaines, sociales (SHS) et appartiennent à l’équipe « Politiques sociales et de santé. Inégalités et populations ».
